HBO Max officially launches in Belgium today

Our country is officially richer by a new streaming service today. It is HBO Max, which brings together a lot of entertainment and sports. Interested parties can choose from three different subscription formulas.

After Streamz, Netflix, Apple TV+, Prime Video and many others, a new streaming service is making its debut in Belgium today, July 1st. The launch of HBO Max, or Max as the streaming service is called in the rest of the world, has been coming for a while, but is now also official.

Series, movies and more

HBO Max includes HBO series, but also a lot of other content – ​​like many well-known films – from Warner Bros. Discovery. In addition, there is Discovery, Eurosport, TLC, HGTV, ID and much more. One of the most notable titles that can currently be viewed is the second season of the popular series House of the Dragon.

There is also the concert, among other things Gaga Chromatica Ball and the documentary Taylor Swift VS Scooter Braun. Later this year there will also be The Penguin, Welcome to Derry in Dune:​ Prophecy.

Subscription forms

There are several subscription plans available in HBO Max.

  • Basic with advertising: The cheapest subscription starts at 5.99 euros per month. For that, users can stream on 2 devices simultaneously and in Full HD resolution. This subscription formula includes advertisements.
  • Standard: If you don’t want advertising, choose this formula at 9.99 euros per month. Here too, you can stream on 2 devices simultaneously and in Full HD resolution. In addition, you can also download content to watch offline.
  • Premium: For 13.99 euros per month you can even stream on 4 devices simultaneously and that in Full HD or 4K resolution and with Dolby Atmos sound. You can also download content offline.

You can also choose to pay an additional 5 euros per month Sport Add-On to take. This gives you access to Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 and many other top sporting events, including the tennis Grand Slam, the 2024 Olympic Games and major cycling races.
