“The plane just went down,” passenger Sultan Baskonyali told >. “We were not prepared.”
He narrated how a man rose abruptly and hit his head on the ceiling before falling abruptly.
Airport doctors evaluated and released three of the injured passengers following the plane landed in Sydney, the airline said Monday. One passenger and three flight attendants were “referred for further evaluation.” The flight attendants have already been discharged, the airline added, noting that it was still awaiting news regarding the passenger.
“The airline has not contacted me even though my two children who were on the flight suffered minor injuries,” another passenger, Tara Goodall, said Monday.
They were returning home to Sydney following visiting Hawaii, the first trip abroad for their two children. It was hard, she noted in text messages, “watching your kids fly out of the cabin of the plane” and not being able to make them feel safe.
She also said that she was not yet ready to give more details regarding the turbulence because she was still emotionally affected.
