Hawaii ticket for Böhler
Triathlete Annick Böhler has qualified for the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. This was announced by her club, the Turnerschaft Langenau. At the Ironman in Cascais, Portugal, she placed third overall in the women’s race and won the 30-34 age group. After 3.8 kilometers of swimming (1:07:30 hours/21st), 180 kilometers of cycling (5:18:30 hours/2nd) and the marathon over 42 kilometers (3:27:48 hours/3rd). they reach the goal in 10:04:46 hours. The French Floriane Jeannin (9:58:55) won ahead of the Czech Helena Kotopulu (9:59:57). In the overall field of men and women, Böhler took 122nd place among 1346 starters.

A week following the 5:13 defeat at EHC Binningen, the EHC Herrischried ice hockey team found its way back to success in the third Swiss Regio League. In front of 460 spectators, the Hotzenwalders defeated the Argovia Stars II 4:3 (2:0, 0:3, 1:0, 0:0) following a penalty shootout. The goals for the hosts were scored by Petr Teuber, Lukas Vlk and Stefan Ruess (the homegrown player’s first league goal), and Klaus Bächle converted the decisive penalty.
