PT Chery Sales Indonesia will officially announce the price of the first off-road electric SUV in Indonesia in the near future. Even though the price is still a mystery, it is claimed that the boxy SUV has already received orders for hundreds of units.
Evan Angganantika, Head of Marketing at Jaecoo, said that this car has made people curious, it is not uncommon for many people to be interested in coming to the dealer to see the unit in person.
“Hundreds of units have been ordered, the finished sign (pre booking) that’s IDR 10 million,” said Evan in Wuhu, China, Wednesday (16/10/2024).

Currently, different electric cars generally come with modern, sporty and retro looks. There are no SUV-style off-road electric car options available yet.
Regarding the price leak, Evan said that the price of the iCar 03 is definitely higher than the Omoda E5.
Local production of the iCar 03 has been carried out. Chery is currently still collaborating with PT Handal Indonesia Motor.
Chery iCar 03 is a car with a dashing boxy appearance in the style of the Land Rover Defender SUV. Chery iCar 03 has dimensions of length 4,448 mm and height 1,855 mm.
The Chery iCarR 03 is claimed to be safe when crossing dirt roads and full of puddles. This is because the vehicle has been ‘coated’ with protection with IP67 certification.
Zeng Shuo, Assistant President Director of PT CSI, launch and delivery of iCar03 will begin at the end of 2024.
“We have prepared a production capacity for iCar 03 of 300 to 500 units, with the hope that customers who have made reservations can receive their units this year,” explained Zeng Shuo when met at the launch of the Go Green Fund program at Mall Kelapa Gading 5, North Jakarta, Monday (14/10/2024).
Zeng Shuo said the Chery iCar 03 has a competitive price.
“For price leaks, we can say IDR 500 million to IDR 600 million,” answered Zeng Shuo.
