The models Mack LR et TerraPro can now be ordered with optional Haulmaax EX suspension systems.
The option on cab-over models offers capacities of 40,000, 46,000 and 52,000 lbs, and up to 75,000 lbs at low speeds over short distances, such as on a construction site.
The manufacturer claims that the heavy-duty rubber spring suspension also increases durability and maximizes component life.
Haulmaax EX suspensions adapt to loads with a progressive load spring system, which improves empty ride and stability when the vehicle is loaded.
No lubrication is required, and there are fewer rings to maintain.
Vehicles equipped with this suspension benefit from increased tire clearance and up to 17-inch diagonal wheel articulation. Tire clearance has been upgraded to include sets with 315-size tires and nine-inch steel wheels, while still meeting the SAE standard for tire chain clearance.
