Several names were speculated about who would succeed Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer as Social Affairs Minister in Upper Austria. As already reported, Hattmannsdorfer will move to the National Council at the end of October and will become Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber on January 1, 2025.
Until recently, nothing was known from the inner circles of the People’s Party about the details of the necessary personnel reshuffle. The new state social affairs minister, Christian Dörfel, the previous club chairman and mayor of Steinbach an der Steyr, was presented this afternoon. The 62-year-old Dörfel will take up the post at the end of October.
Dörfel will be succeeded as chairman of the club by Margit Angerlehner, member of the state parliament and mayor of Oftering.
