The more expensive the car, the more profitable it is to carry it through parallel channels. Therefore, there is no shortage of “gray” cars in the premium segment on the Russian market, but there is a shortage of inexpensive models. But there are exceptions to this rule. For example, Suzuki Baleno hatchbacks were on sale at a price of less than two million rubles. We got acquainted with such a machine at a Moscow dealer.
In recent years, Suzuki has not spoiled Russian buyers with a wide range: there were only three models in the range. Moreover, the Suzuki SX4 crossover was preparing for a generation change at the beginning of last year, so there were only the remains of the old-style cars in the warehouses, and the new SX4 never reached us. Stocks of Vitara crossovers and Jimny SUVs were enough for almost a year of sales, but now they have dried up.
There is no need to wait for new deliveries through official channels. Although Suzuki continues to work in Russia, it only supplies some spare parts and maintains warranty obligations. There is no talk of resuming the import of new cars. Therefore, many official dealers, although they retained the design of showrooms, switched to the sale of used cars. And in some cases, these are cars of a different price segment. Quite different.
