Saudi international Hassan Timbukti, defender of the first youth football team, asked his club’s management to allow him to leave during the current summer transfer period.
According to Al-Riyadiah sources, Khaled Al-Thunayan, the club’s president, promised the defender to reach a satisfactory solution for everyone following the end of participation in the King Salman Cup for Arab clubs, in which the capital city team qualified for the semi-finals, and will face Al-Hilal tomorrow.
According to the same sources, the youth managers want the player to stay, but Timbukti wants to leave, especially in light of the interest of Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly clubs in his services.
The international defender tends to go to Al-Hilal or Al-Ittihad, but that does not mean that he does not consider the offers of other clubs that seek to sign him.
Timbukti receives ten million riyals annually from Al-Laith, which represent his salaries only, in addition to other privileges in the contract concluded between the two parties.
The sources denied the arrival of offers of regarding 100 million to buy the player’s contract, as was reported in the past days.
In turn, Al-Riyadiah contacted Khaled Al-Thunayan, the club’s president, and Talal Al-Sheikh, the executive director of football, by phone and via text messages to comment on the news, but they did not respond.
It is noteworthy that Timbukti renewed his contract with Al-Shabab, last January, for a period of four years during the era of the previous administration headed by Khaled Al-Baltan.
