Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)— Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, asked regarding the money provided to Lebanon as aid since 2005, and where is it? And that was in a speech he gave in memory of the “martyr leaders”, on Wednesday.
Nasrallah said, according to what was reported by Hezbollah’s Al-Manar channel: “I want to talk regarding opponents, allies and friends. There is no problem between us and them. I want to talk regarding opponents who speak this language. What did you do and what did we do?” Of course, later I will talk in detail, but Bold line, some opponents have been in the state for thirty years and have received ministries in which huge and enormous funds, and some opponents have been in the state since 2005…”
He continued, “I want to ask them: With the state’s money and with the money that came to you as donations from abroad, let’s see, make documentaries, show the Lebanese people, what you have done. Where are the universities, high schools, schools, orphanages, hospitals, health centers, professions, roads, infrastructure, people service and education? And support the students, of course there are people who have done something, but there are many people, especially since 2005…”
He added: “There are people thirty years ago who gave money. What did they give? Let these people tell us what they gave? Only since 2005, the Americans say we have given Lebanon ten billion dollars in recent years. Where? Muhammad bin Salman says we paid the Lebanese from 2005 to 2017, twenty billion dollars.” Where? This is 30 billion dollars, let’s see it, where is the thirty billion dollars? Let’s see it, where are the institutions that serve the Lebanese regions and the Lebanese people of all their sects, yes, do you know where to find these thirty billion dollars? smuggle it abroad.”
And he added, “As for us, we are ready to say what we have done, what we have done, and what we have ‘combined’. We, our friends, our loved ones, and those around us are ready in numbers. It is known what we have done or what we are offering, and we will continue on this issue.”
