Has Iran become the second Islamic nuclear power, shaken by the mysterious earthquake – World

After a moderate earthquake struck Iran and Israel on the evening of October 5, there were rumors that Tehran had conducted an underground nuclear test, with tremors felt as far away as Tel Aviv.

The city of Ardan in Iran’s Semnan province was the epicenter of the 4.6 magnitude earthquake. According to the US Geological Survey, the underground depth was recorded as 10 km. At around 10:45 pm local time, the tremors were felt as far away as Tehran, which is about 110 km from the epicenter.

Minutes after the initial earthquake, a second, slightly weaker earthquake was reported in Israel around midnight, further fueling concerns and theories about the nature of these seismic events. The unusual timing of the two incidents, with ongoing tensions between the two countries, led to speculation on social media that a secret nuclear test was being conducted.

“Iran has been conducting nuclear tests since last night,” said a user on social networking site X. Tehran carried out bomb tests 10 km underground near Semnan to ensure minimal radiation spread and this resulted in a 4.6 magnitude earthquake recorded by seismographs.

Another user wrote, “This Iranian earthquake really scared Israel. Tel Aviv is wondering if they will attack Iran, it seems, as is the case with nuclear weapons, no country will mess with nuclear power.

“Iran first demonstrated its ability to deliver a warhead precisely where it wanted, and then there was the desert earthquake that looked more and more like a nuclear test.”

Another post said, ‘Yesterday there was a 4.5 earthquake in Iran. Rumor has it that it was a nuclear test. The February 2013 earthquake in North Korea proved to be a nuclear test. The November 2017 earthquake in Iran was also labeled as a nuclear test. Iran is capable of accumulating enough fissile material within a week. What is reality?
