The case of Madeleine McCann, the English girl who disappeared in 2007 while on vacation with her family in Portugal, has been a trend in recent days; following Julia Faustyna Wendell, a young Polish woman (21 years old), said that she believed she was the missing child. To do this, she has used her Instagram account, in order to collect photos and make comparisons with which to “get to the truth”, however, her family made a harsh confession that would change things.

With the passing of the days, their arguments have been losing strength, despite attempts to get the parents of the little British girl to agree to a DNA test that puts an end to the speculation. However, until now there is no certainty that the British Kate and Gerry have gone one step further and submitted to the exams that would close, once and for all, the chapter or add a new one.

“I think we should force Julia’s mother or a family member to take the DNA test instead of disturbing the peace of Kate and Gerry, which is not necessary. (…) If a current family member took a DNA test, we might figure this out. But they refuse to do it”, collected The Sun.

The Wendell family arguments

In a statement released by Missing, an organization that supports the search for missing persons, Faustyna Wendell’s family wanted to put an end to the rumors and assured that the young woman was lying to be “famous”. Besides, there was reference to an alleged mental condition that afflicted her.

“For us as a family it is obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin (…). We have memories, we have photos. Julia also has these photos because she took them from the family home with her birth certificate, as well as from numerous hospital discharges ”, the text begins before pointing out that it has been a “fight” for her to stop.

“We always tried to help her recover. Julia has been of legal age for several years. She has moved house. She refuses treatment, does not take medication regularly. She, too, did not take the opportunity to receive treatment in a very good center in Poland that she agreed to accept, ”the statement released by that NGO reads.

Police remain ‘skeptical’

In that statement, the woman’s relatives stress that they will not make public appearances or disseminate evidence, but that all the probative material is in the hands of the Provincial Police in Wroclaw. As for the UK authorities, who are also following the case, they maintain a skeptical position, although more inclined towards an eventual ‘lie’ by Wendell.

For now, the young woman’s representative stated, following supposedly having been in direct communication with the woman’s relatives, that she had spoken “personally with Julia’s mother and I told her that we would protect her in the way she needs, but she still refuses to take the test. She says that she has Julia’s birth certificate, but we are concerned that she might easily falsify it, ”he collected. The Sun.
