After many years at Tottenham, Harry Kane, 30, finally chose to leave the English club this summer.
Despite rumors of interest from top rivals in the Premier League, it turned out to be a move abroad – and the choice of club fell on Bayern Munich.
There, the Englishman has impressed greatly, with 43 goals and eleven appearances in 43 competitive matches during the season.
For the team, however, things have been somewhat more difficult – at least in the league game. This year, Bayern Munich miss out on the league victory for the first time since 2012.
However, things are going better in the Champions League – where a return in the semi-finals away to Real Madrid awaits next week, following a draw on Tuesday.
Kane believes that matches like these are of great importance as to why he chose to sign for the German big club.
This is exactly why I moved here.
– These are the big matches. The atmosphere was incredible. This is exactly why I moved here. I want to play in these big games, he says according to the Evening Standard.
The Englishman also chooses to say that he sees himself in the German big club for several years to come.
The expectation at the start of the season was to win titles.
– I will be here for many years. It’s not a single year I’m here for. It is clear that the expectation at the start of the season was to win titles. The Champions League is the biggest. If we manage to win it, it will be a fantastic season, says Kane.
The Englishman’s contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027.
