Harry in London for a charity event with sick children – News – Ansa.it

Prince Harry arrived in London alone this afternoon to attend the WellChild Awards, the awards of a charity for seriously ill children of which King Charles’ second son has been patron for 15 years. In the images released by the UK media, the Duke of Sussex can be seen talking to some of the children and their parents inside the Royal Lancaster Hotel where the ceremony takes place.

Harry, who turned 40 on 15 September and celebrated them in California with his wife Meghan and their children, had last returned to Great Britain at the end of August to take part in the funeral of his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, brother-in-law of Princess Diana. On that occasion, he had not even spoken to his brother, the heir to the throne William, due to the persistent family tensions between the two following the break from the royal family in 2020 and the subsequent move of the Duke of Sussex with his wife to the United States.

During what appears to be a new lightning visit by the rebel prince to England, according to media rumours, there is no plan to meet with his father Charles, who is in Scotland where in recent days he spoke to the Edinburgh Parliament to celebrate his 25 years of history.
