Harm Edens is very false about Gordon: ‘A whole bucket full of vomit!’

How lucky that Harm Edens never has to get quotes from Gordon, because he makes even more false statements regarding the troubled singer than Aran Bade. “A whole bucket full of vomit!”

Gordon only has to sit behind a microphone somewhere for five minutes and it immediately rains newsworthy quotes. One thing is certain: it is never boring with Goor. He was recently on the radio show of the highly acclaimed Mischa Blok and they also briefly talked regarding his former radio career. For example, Gordon replaced Edwin Evers a few times.

Overconfidence

Those raids really went down very well with… ehh, well at least with Gordon himself. “Yes, that was so well received that they thought: leave Evers at home! That is indeed how it was,” he said dead seriously to Mischa.

Wonderfully significant, of course. What did Mischa say to that? Nothing at all. And that is why Harm Edens provides some commentary in his radio podcast This Was The Radio. “You hear a lot of talent coming through once more. That’s always fun. Better than Evers… No shortage of self-overestimation!”, he sneers.

Drunk in studio

Media expert Ron Vergouwen then portrays Gordon as a lazy radio maker. “He used to have that morning show on Noordzee FM, but I think he always recorded the first hour the day before, so he didn’t have to be in the studio until seven o’clock.”

Colleague Arjan Snijders: “I do believe what he says that he stumbled into that studio drunk. I understand that it was a bit like Jensen did in recent years of the morning show. That you hear something from the presenter once or twice in half an hour, partly already recorded, so it was not a live show where everything happened all the time.”

Week of 5,5

Arjan thinks that Gordon was not very disciplined at the time. “He wasn’t there with any regularity, so those three years are something to fill in.”

Harm false: “Yes, if we add the net, it is another 5.5 weeks.”

Ron: “Yes, and I think Humberto Tan was Edwin Evers’ permanent replacement. I don’t remember Gordon anymore.”

Arjan: “Humberto Tan also worked well as a replacement. That you can replace such an iconic show.”

‘Although you emit noise!’

If, like Gordon, you replace an icon like Evers, then that is no achievement at all, Harm believes: “Because it is already such an iconic show. Then people are recovering from the fact that your icon is not there, then they say: ‘Oh, it’s still not there’, then: ‘Oh, it will be back soon.’ So it doesn’t matter who is sitting there. Even if you emit noise!”

Ron: “That interview with Mischa Blok was really full of tears, so he is not a very stable person at the moment. I think he cried six or seven times in that hour he spoke to Mischa Blok.”

“Leave him at home!”

Harm thinks that Mischa should have intervened when Goor made that comment regarding Evers. “If you hear him say: ‘When I was replacing Edwin Evers, they said: leave him at home because I like it so much’, then as an interviewer you also hear… A light cough is the least.”

Then very falsely: “You can also vomit a bucket full or something, but I think you have to respond.”
