In a podcast, Amina Seferovic talks regarding her life alongside Nati player Haris Seferovic (31).

Her husband’s repeated club changes led to stress for the 31-year-old.

The family of four has been living in Dubai for a month.

Amina Seferovic (31) was a guest in the podcast “Extra sweet and sour” by the presenter Sarah Richmond (26) and the Professional soccer players Julian Weigl (28). She spoke openly regarding life with her husband, Nati player Haris Seferovic (31).

Deutsche joined the conversation from Dubai. The Seferovic family of four currently lives there. Amina and Sarah became friends when their husbands were still under contract with Benfica. Haris and Amina lived in the Portuguese city for five years and, among other things, got married there. “It was still relatively quiet back then,” she remembers. In the last year and a half, the family changed their place of residence several times. Haris has been under contract with four different clubs in the past 18 months.

Last summer, the Seferovics first moved to Istanbul. “We went there expecting to stay longer,” said the 31-year-old. So they packed up all their belongings. Haris Seferovic was only on loan as a player, but his contract with Galatasaray Istanbul included a purchase option. “As is the case in football, everything changed very quickly,” says Amina. After her arrival in Turkey, Haris was initially celebrated, but then the club bought PSG striker Mauro Icardi (30) following just a month. The Lucerne player was only on the field for a few games, which is why the purchase option was no longer valid.

Moving is a huge effort for Amina Seferovic

The striker then moved to Spanish club Celta Vigo in February. He wandered alone into the city on the Atlantic. “Moving is extremely time-consuming. “The customs clearance and all the personal belongings are a huge mess, and Turkey is not part of the EU,” says Amina. That’s why she stayed in Istanbul with the children for the time being, as Haris was only on loan and daughter Inaya (3) had just started kindergarten. “By the end of the season in May, we had flown back and forth around four or five times. Each flight lasts around five hours,” she says.

Haris might have stayed in Vigo, but the negotiations did not go as he would have liked. So he looked around during the summer break and got a suitable offer from Dubai. “We were both immediately impressed by the option,” says Amina. On August 1st, the entire family moved to Dubai. «We feel comfortable here. “Right from the start, Haris said he felt at home in Dubai,” says the Bosnian native. He particularly likes the fact that he can have his car cleaned for the equivalent of just five euros.
