“Our goal is to win in the next national elections” is the message sent from Thessaloniki on Thursday night (4/7/24) by the mayor of Athens and candidate for the presidency of PASOK, Haris Doukas.
Haris Doukas was in a cafe in the center of Thessaloniki and talked with friends and members of PASOK.
“We are very happy because we are starting our great effort to once once more make PASOK the soul of the democratic faction that will govern in the next national elections from Macedonia, from Thessaloniki” said Haris Doukas.
“I’m happy because I see a lot of people telling me to smile, keep hope alive and try to make the big turnaround in the next national elections.
We will have the opportunity to discuss our plan because I think it is clear that there is a very big governmental embarrassment, there is a regression of the percentages in the European elections and this is also the reason why we now need a very strong PASOK, which can be the alternative to create a progressive direction in the country and change the production model” he added.
To a question regarding a common path of the center-left, he answered: “Our goal is for PASOK to grow stronger and become the soul of the democratic faction. That is why we are making a broad call to all democratic and progressive citizens to come, participate in the process and make PASOK the great force that will change the course of the country once more.
Our goal is to win the next national elections to give a new perspective, a hope to the world. A sense of fear, insecurity and resignation prevails. This happens because many feel difficulty living their lives and dealing with everyday life.”
