Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM) PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (EPI) invited the Rumah Tahfiz Uwais Al Qarni Foundation to shop for basic necessities and holiday needs at the Ciledug Hari-Hari Supermarket. Zakat worth IDR 50 million was collected from the distribution of zakat to all PLN EPI employees.
Main Director of PLN EPI, Iwan Agung Firstantara, said that this activity was a manifestation of PLN EPI’s concern for vulnerable people. One of them is the Rumah Tahfiz Foundation which must continue to receive attention.
“We PLN EPI people are also happy to be able to carry out this happy shopping activity for the Quran Tahfiz. “We know that Hari Raya is a special moment that is awaited by children, including the children at this Foundation,” said Iwan.
The distribution of zakat in the form of a program entitled ‘Happy Shopping’ was also presented by PLN EPI Srikandi Volunteers, including Nia Utami Zahra, Andy Tri Hermawan, Wahyu Hutasuhut, and Viva Krisnamurti Purnama. The Happy Shopping Program helps share happiness with 50 children in the Tahfiz Quran Foundation with a quota per head of IDR 1 million.
“From the target of 50 children, only 35 were able to join the Happy Shopping program. “However, it is not a problem because the quota will be given directly to the head of the foundation and will be given 1 day following implementation,” said Iwan.
On separate occasions, Iwan often expressed his gratitude to the children of the Tahfiz Quran Foundation and the Muzakki, namely PLN EPI employees. He said that the Happy Shopping program will continue to run along with the form of YBM PLN EPI to the community, namely providing useful assistance to those in need.
“I would like to thank the children of the Tahfiz Quran Foundation who have struggled to become pioneers for Indonesia in the future, then the Muzakki, namely PLN EPI people who have set aside some of their fortune to give to those in need. “It is hoped that this program will continue to run and get better in the future, hopefully YBM will continue to be a forum that runs in a trustworthy manner,” he added.
