“Happy Heart” syndrome, such as a Christmas surprise, may cause a heart attack, and deaths have been recorded • Al Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad newspaper: Consultant cardiologist Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr said that happy heart syndrome, like a Christmas surprise, may cause a heart attack.

Comes from the happy news

He added, during an intervention on the “Al-Ikhbaria” channel, that this syndrome was described in the scientific references to heart diseases in the world in 2022, and very famous studies were carried out in 3 European cities, including “Spain and Greece.”

He explained that happy heart syndrome may come from happy news, such as a surprise birthday party, seeing someone you haven’t seen in 50 years of marriage, or a hopeless job.

He pointed out that psychological emotions increase “ketocholamys”, which causes a heart attack.

Hearts sensitive to emotions

And he continued: Some people have their hearts sensitive to emotional emotions, for example, if you say to one of the patients in the clinic, “You have no heart disease,” they differ in the reaction. One received says praise be to God, another cries, a third rises and prostrates, and there is also someone who hugs his children.

He continued: 8% of the happy heart syndrome group was recorded and caused death. Therefore, we recommend giving positive news gradually, as well as negative news.
