The brake continues the poor form from the end of last season
The picture of the final table of the Toto Cup is slowly starting to be built, when this evening (Sunday) Hapoel Beer Sheva recorded another defeat for them and another loss, when they surrendered 3:2 to Tiberias City following a goal in extra time, which means that the northerners finished in seventh place, while the team from the capital of the Negev – in eighth place.
The pace was good from the beginning of the game and the attacks went from side to side, with the most prominent of the players being Danner Kinyons, who hardly played until now. However, in one explosive attack, Tiberias stung and went up 0:1, when in the 20th minute Basel Shaaban scored after a great assist by Shay Constantine.
The host woke up a bit and returned to control the game, Kinyons met the crossbar, Amir Ganah made a big miss in the 49th minute, but four minutes later he corrected it with a big goal straight to the connections. BS’s equality did not last too long, in the 55th minute another explosive attack by the team in blue, Jordan Botaka found Stanislav Bilenki and he scored.
Ran Kozhuk made substitutions in the hope of returning to the game, and it did show. In the 66th minute, BS received a penalty, which Eliel Peretz went over and easily scored from the penalty spot. Everything seemed to be on the way to a penalty shootout, but then came the big drama. Gilad Abramov came in for Tiberias, in the 90th minute the guest received a free kick which was approached by the substitute player, who perfectly went over the wall and met the connections.
Hapoel Beer Sheva suffered another loss, and there is no doubt that it is difficult for the fans to accept it, when they announced it after the game and shouted “resign” at the coach, who next week will start his way in the opening round of the season in the Premier League and hope to achieve a victory against Kiryat Shmona.
