Hannut: the farmer who disappeared on Saturday found dead in his field

Jean-Louis Mazy, a 61-year-old farmer from Hannut, had been wanted since Saturday. A search notice had been published by the federal police at the request of the Liège public prosecutor’s office, Huy division. He had been seen for the last time in a field where he worked, located on the road from Namur to Hannut. Since then, he had not appeared. After several beatings during the night, the lifeless body of the farmer was found Sunday morning in his beet field.
