Egyptian stars Hani Shaker and Safaa Abu Al-Saud will perform at the opening ceremony of the seventh session of the International Forum for the Arts of People with Special Abilities, “Our Children”, on Friday, at the Grand Theater of the Opera House, which carries the slogan “Life is Sweet”, and is being held in conjunction with the Afro-Chinese Arts and Folklore Festival, headed by its founder, Soheir Abdel Qader. Its activities will continue from September 22 to 29, with the participation of 42 Arab and foreign countries, including the Emirates. International activist and Emirati Special Olympics star, Sheikha Al Qasimi, will participate in the international jury for the Fine Arts Competition. The forum will be held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic.
The opening ceremony is directed by the artist Adel Abdo, and presented by the journalist Sherif Nour El-Din, and its festive appearances begin in the external opera square, where the audience of the ceremony receives an artistic carnival of international bands presenting various artistic performances: Golden Sun from Algeria, Folkloric from Syria, Visual Arts from Zimbabwe, and Al-Jeddawi Group. From Morocco, Heritage from Yemen, Panin from Cameroon, Advance Association rhythm group from Egypt.
The Grand Theater witnesses the official opening ceremony in the presence of a number of ministers and ambassadors of the countries participating in the festival, and includes honoring 4 personalities who contributed to supporting and assisting people of determination: the artist Hamza Al-Aili for his role as Maskar in the Ibn Halal series, the researcher Mustafa Zamzam for his role in social services campaigns, and the social activist Rania Hammad regarding her journey as one of the symbols of people with special abilities, and the Indian child Raja, one of the models of challenge and success for people with special abilities.
This is followed by a number of artistic performances with the participation of talented people from the Awladna Foundation, including the song “Shukran” by the artist Safaa Abu Al-Saud, words by the poet Abdullah Hassan and composed by the musician Sharaf Hamdan, with the participation of Khaled Ammar, Tamer Nabil, Amira Saeed, and performances by Dr. Aisha Fouad – Muhammad Abdel Aziz, the sketch Life is Sweet, with the participation of artists Rania Farid Shawqi, Muhammad Adel, Tariq Sabry, Donia Abdel Aziz.
A number of participating teams present artistic performances, including performances from India, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Russia, Poland, Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Jordan, Tunisia, and Belarus. The concert concludes with the song “With This Country” by artist Hani Shaker, followed by the song “” “Life is Sweet” by artist Safaa Abu Al-Saud.
