According to comprehensive land media reports, the incident occurred at regarding 3 pm on the 18th, when the sunken square of Jinsha Lake Park had a pipe gushing, and the overflow of the lake caused the Jinsha Lake subway station to form a flood. Relevant departments immediately organized emergency repairs, carried out pipe plugging and drainage of accumulated water, and all the people on site were evacuated and no one was trapped. Five stations at Gaosha Road Station were suspended until 5 a.m. on the 19th, and the water in the sunken plaza and underground garage of Jinsha Lake Park had been basically drained.

Due to the temporary suspension of some stations of Metro Line 1, Hangzhou Public Transport Group also dispatched “Subway Line 1 Shuttle Line” to 5 subway stations: Jiubao Station, Passenger Transport Center Station, Xiasha West Station, Jinsha Lake Station and Gaosha Road Station As of 7:00 a.m. on May 19, nearly 300 buses have been dispatched to pick up and drop off passengers between the stations.
