The messages are sent via email. The addressees are asked to open a link to request the refund online. “Hands off! These messages are an attempted fraud,” warned the ÖGK in a broadcast on Thursday.
The ÖGK urged its insured persons not to respond to this. “Under no circumstances should the link provided be opened or personal information be disclosed,” it said.
