The Zamalek team continued its victories in the African Handball Championship, by defeating Mouloudia Algiers 34-25 in the match that was held between them this evening in the first group competitions of the African Handball Club Championship currently being held in Tunisia.
The first half of the match ended with Zamalek leading 17-11.
Zamalek has two matches left, tomorrow, Monday, with Cameroon’s FAP, and then the last confrontation in the group stage with Tunisia’s African club, next Wednesday, October 5th.
On the other hand, in the same group, the African beat Red Star, the Ivorian, 33-26.
Thus, Zamalek leads the group’s standings with 4 points, with a goal difference from the African with the same balance of points, and comes in second place, while Mouloudia Algiers comes third with 4 points from two matches.
While the Cameroonian FAB and Red Star are in the fourth and fifth positions without points.
The teams in the first four places from the second and first group qualify for the quarter-finals, where the first of the second meets the fourth of the first, the second of the second with the third of the first, the third of the second with the second of the first, and the fourth of the second meets the first of the first.
