“Hamlet Upside Down” was shown twice in Carthage Theater Days today and the jury is watching it

Today, the play “Hamlet Upside Down” by the great writer Sameh Mahran and the young director Mazen Al-Gharabawi is presented twice, and the show represents Egypt in the official competition within the activities of the 23rd session of the Egyptian Film Festival. Theatrical days of Carthage Which started on December 3 and ends on December 10.

“Hamlet Upside Down” was shown twice at the Fourth Art Theater, and the committee watched it in the second show, which is scheduled for seven o’clock in Tunis time, and six o’clock in Cairo time. .

“Hamlet Upside Down” starring Amr Al-Qadi, Khaled Mahmoud, Ayman Al-Shiwy, Samar Jaber, Nihad Saeed and a group of new faces from the youth of art institutes and university theater, dedicated to the vocal and cinematic participation, the distinguished artist Khaled Al-Sawy, written by Sameh Mahran, decoration and lighting by Sobhi Al-Sayed, music composition Tariq Mahran, Marwa Odeh Fashion, Makeup Reda Salah, Lamia Mahmoud Make-up, Mohamed Shaker Hairdresser, Directed by Mazen Al-Gharbawi.

The events of the play stem from the story of “Hamlet”, the famous and inspiring Shakespearean character in literature and theater. But she doesn’t literally recount it, and she doesn’t just quote it, but turns it upside down! And between the boundaries of the original text of Shakespeare and the orbits of creation and renewal, “Hamlet Upside Down” writes a new story that monitors the reality of man in the modern era. The show seeks to dissect the relationship between the West and the Arabs and the extent of the Western world’s sincerity in claiming respect for democracy, freedom and pluralism. On a stage revolting with questions and haunted by confusion, the play discusses the possible and the impossible, the truth and slogans, the existing and the desired.
