Hamilton expects to compete in Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix

Mercedes’ British driver Lewis Hamilton is expected to be able to participate in the Canadian Grand Prix scheduled for next weekend in the Formula 1 World Championship.

Hamilton, 37, had trouble getting out of the cockpit of his car, as he suffered from back pain during the Formula 1 race held in Azerbaijan on Sunday, which included 51 laps.

Hamilton described yesterday’s race as the most painful of his career, according to the British news agency “PA Media”.

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff said there are chances that 7-times world champion Hamilton will not be able to recover enough fitness to participate in the next race in Canada.

But Hamilton, who finished fourth in yesterday’s race, played down those concerns with a social media post.

“I’ll be there at the weekend,” Hamilton said. I won’t be gone… Yesterday was hard and I had some trouble sleeping, but I felt positive when I woke up today.”

He added, “I feel a little pain and some bruises in my back, but nothing serious.”

“We have to keep fighting,” Hamilton said. Now is the most demanding time for cooperation, and we will do so.”
