Hamidti pledges to prosecute those responsible for the “unfortunate” events in Darfur

The Vice-President of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hamedti”, affirmed, on Sunday, that the government is determined to pursue the outlaws and outlaws who caused the unfortunate events that took place in South Darfur.

The Sudanese News Agency, SUNA, quoted Hamidti as calling on the people in Darfur to cooperate with the security services to resolve chaos and avoid impunity.

Addressing the citizens of the Ta’aisha area in Ntiga locality in the state of South Darfur today, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the citizens of the region “who hosted the displaced from local areas at night following they were subjected to a brutal attack last week that led to the burning of their homes and the looting of their property and their displacement to neighboring areas, stressing that this stems from the values ​​and morals of the Sudanese.” .

According to the agency, Hamidti stressed the need to renounce regionalism and tribalism, pointing to the importance of dealing decisively, according to the law, with all aggressors.

He stressed the need to implement the Juba Agreement, which stipulated peace in all states of Darfur, indicating that despite the signing of this agreement and its entry into force, there are still some security breaches that harm the peace process, calling for adhering to the agreement as a pillar of development, stability and security.

The Vice-President of the Sovereign Council pledged that what happened would not be repeated, and that the government would do its utmost to restore life in those areas to normal, and that, in cooperation with the state government, all the assignments that we had been given during this visit, on top of which is the provision of water, communications, health and security services urgently for the citizens, will be followed up. These areas are in order to ensure that they return to their areas and start their lives normally.
