Leader PTI and Advocate Hamid Khan have said that they have decided to form a National Action Committee to conduct a protest movement against the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
During the press conference along with Salman Akram Raja, he said that the way we had formed a committee to protect the judiciary in 2002 and 2007 and started a protest movement in the same way, now it is an important need.
He said that with the approval of the 26th constitutional amendment, the constitution is flying, this committee will have all the presidents of the High Court Bar, the members of the Bar Council, the representatives of all the bar councils including the former presidents of the Supreme Court Bar.
Hamid Khan said that social workers should also be included in the National Action Committee and in the next few days will present a complete action plan regarding how to take the movement forward. He said that lawyers are the first team to protect the judiciary.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and jurist Salman Akram Raja says that after the constitutional amendment, the government has got the power to appoint judges of its choice.
He said that the Charter of Democracy has nothing to do with the present era, the independent judiciary has been strangled, now it is not just a matter of PTI, everyone has to come out on the streets.
Secretary General PTI Salman Akram Raja said that the tragedy that was supposed to happen has happened, there is no ambiguity about those who committed treason, the role of those who remained absent and did not vote is also doubtful.
He said that our investigation is going on, everything will come out soon, those who cut off contact with us will also be asked, Zain Qureshi is also among them.
