Hamas called the US cease-fire agreement a fraud

agitation A senior official has said that after the talks in Qatar by US President Joe Biden Gaza i Cease fire Hope is a delusion.

Sami Abu Zuhri, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, told the AFP news agency on Saturday that saying that we are getting close to an agreement is nothing but an illusion. “We are not dealing with an agreement or real negotiations, but with the implementation of an American order.”

Sami Abu Zahri was responding to Biden’s comments on Friday in which he said we are closer (to a ceasefire agreement) than ever.

President Biden was speaking after two days of talks in Qatar where Washington sought to bridge the gap between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas.

All previous hopes had been dashed during months of cease-fire negotiations.

But the gulf has widened significantly since the late July deaths of Fouad Shakar, a top operations chief for Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, and Ismail Haniyeh, the political chief of Hamas.

The killings of these leaders prompted threats of retaliation from Iran and Hezbollah and fears of a wider war in the Middle East.

Trying to avert a wider conflict, Western and Arab diplomats have been touring the region to push for a Gaza deal that they say could help prevent a wider conflict.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken is visiting the region later this week to help seal the deal.

Hamas officials have objected to ‘new terms’ from Israel in the latest proposal put forward by Washington.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s office said on Saturday that the Israeli delegation expressed “cautious optimism” about the prospects for a deal after returning from Doha.

“It is hoped that intense pressure from the United States and mediators on Hamas will lead to the removal of its opposition to the American proposal, possibly leading to progress in the negotiations,” the Israeli statement said.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Britain, France, Germany and Italy urged all parties to engage positively and flexibly in the negotiations.

The development came as Lebanon’s health ministry said 10 Syrians, including a woman and her two children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern Nabataean region.

It was the deadliest attack in southern Lebanon since the start of the Gaza war in which Israel and Hezbollah exchanged fire almost daily.

Israel’s military said it hit a Hezbollah weapons cache.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defense Authority in Gaza said that 15 members of the same Palestinian family were killed in an Israeli airstrike. The latest deaths in al-Zawaida bring the number of Palestinians killed in 10 months to 40,074.

On the other hand, the Palestinian authorities say that two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the occupied West Bank on Saturday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement: “Two bodies were transferred to the public hospital in Jenin after the occupation (Israeli forces) bombed a car in the center of the city.”

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the attack was carried out by an Israeli drone.

In response to the attack, the Israeli military said in a statement that it had carried out an “airstrike on a terrorist cell” in the Jenin area.
