The Israeli Army gave civilians in northern Gaza three hours to evacuate to the south to avoid being caught in the crossfire between its defense offensives and Hamas attacks. However, the terrorists took advantage of this time to direct their offensives to this area and continue killing people.

“The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will allow passage on the Salah al Din road today between one (1:00 p.m.) and four (4:00 p.m.) in the followingnoon. For your safety, take advantage of this moment to move south, beyond Wadi,” a town in central Gaza, a spokesman for the troops, Avichay Adraee, said in a brief message on social media.

“If you are concerned regarding your situation and that of your loved ones, go south according to the instructions,” he added in an attempt to motivate civilians to take advantage of this window of time in which he promised to stop the attacks.

Shortly following this humanitarian corridor was opened, however, the IDF reported that Hamas opened fire on the troops, assisting in these tasks with mortars and anti-tank guided missiles.

“The terrorist organization Hamas took advantage of the humanitarian opportunity that the IDF provided to the residents of Gaza, and the organization’s terrorists attacked the working IDF forces with mortar fire and anti-tank missiles, to prevent it from opening to residents. from the Gaza Strip. There were no victims among our forces in this incident,” they explained.

Since before beginning its counteroffensive on Gaza, Israel has requested almost daily that Hamas terrorists allow the departure of people from the north of the Strip to safe areas in the south, although in most cases this migration was thwarted by blockades and sabotage by the armed group. However, the local Ministry of Health denounces that the almost 9,500 Palestinians who – they say – have died since October 7 are responsible for their attacks.

Meanwhile, Israel continues its advances on the Palestinian enclave and the number of casualties on the enemy side increases.

Late on Friday, the IDF carried out a targeted raid in which it managed to dismantle a new Hamas cell. “During the night, armored and engineering corps of the Israel Defense Forces operated to map buildings and neutralize targets,” the Army indicated, adding that the soldiers encountered “a terrorist cell that was coming out of a tunnel and, in “In response, they fired projectiles at the terrorists and killed them.”

Also, during Saturday, infantrymen and armored units of the 460th Brigade carried out operations in the north of the territory, an area in which “multiple attempted attacks once morest IDF forces have been recorded through tunnels and military complexes.” Thanks to their prompt response, they managed to neutralize the attackers and also discovered tunnels intended for terrorist activities.

After successfully breaking into the Strip and advancing both from the north and the south, Israel has focused its efforts on dismantling the underpasses and eliminating the leaders of the enemy brigades – which already number around ten in recent weeks -.

“Our main objective is to dismantle the Hamas organization and secure the release of the hostages,” IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari insisted in a statement.

Thus, the elite combat engineering unit Yahalom, members of the 7107th Battalion of the Corps of Combat Engineers, and the Nahal and Negev brigades have already begun their tasks in the field. To do this, they use various types of robots and explosive devices that destroy the tunnels, detonate the traps and expose the terrorists to be eliminated.

“Maybe at first they were able to harass us, sting us by shooting from the exit of the tunnels but, following we established control of the areas, the engineering operation began,” they explained.
