Hamad Saeed Al Matroushi Represents UAE in 19th Asian Games in China

Hamad Saeed Al Matroushi, player of the Al Hamriya team and representative of the UAE modern rowing team, will participate in the 19th Asian Games, hosted by the city of Hangzhou in China, during the period from September 20 to October 8.

Hamad Saeed Al Matrooshi, player of the Al Hamriyah team and representative of the UAE modern rowing team, headed today, Sunday, with the team’s coach, Sayed Ali Wadh, to China, accompanied by the delegation of the national sailing and rowing team, with the intention of participating in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, during the period from September 20 to Next October 8.

Al Matrooshi represents the UAE national team in the Asian Games, following winning a bronze medal last March in the Asian Beach Rowing Championship in Thailand with his teammate in the Al Hamriya team, Khamis Ghanem Al Shamsi.

The “Al Annabi” player said that he is looking forward to an honorable representation of the national team in China, and repeating Thailand’s achievement of raising the country’s flag in the Asian Games.

Al Matrooshi acknowledged the difficulty of the competition, especially in light of the presence of international champions, but stressed his complete readiness for the challenge with the goal of reaching the “podium.”

The player praised the great support he received from the National Olympic Committee, the UAE Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, and the Sharjah Sports Council, as well as the interest and support of the Board of Directors of the Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club.
