Game news Halo Infinite: the peak of players exceeded by that of the Master Chief Collection on PC, here are the figures

Halo Infinite was expected like the messiah by fans and its arrival last December was particularly well received: only here, a few months later, its popularity is running out of steam on Steam, to the point of being overtaken by a compilation.
The Master Chief Collection takes over
Steam is often a very good indicator of the popularity of games, even when they are cross-platform. Halo Infinite is no exception and if we know that the attendance of the title of 343 Industries has been in severe decline for some time now, we can see that the FPS has just been overtaken by the Halo The Master Chief Collection : the latter achieved a peak of 9,212 players simultaneously, once morest 8,210 players for the latest opus. It now rules at the 119th place of the most played games right now on the Valve platform.
Already last February, we informed you of the sharp drop in audience of Halo Infinite on Steam, which might be explained by two reasons: first of all, the fact that the game was delivered in the Xbox Game Pass and that its multiplayer was free allowed as soon as the release of the colossal figures, but not necessarily coming from the fans or diligent players. As a result, many simply curious people then left gradually following tasting the title of the American studio.
Then… there is also the lack of content.
A season 2 that is desired
This is also the big problem of Halo Infinite : he did not sufficiently know how to maintain his community. The Forge mode or cooperation in the solo mode, terribly expected, have been repeatedly postponed: the first will arrive at the beginning of April and the second still has no release date.
At last, Season 2, which was also slow to show up, has only just announced a release date, set for May 3, 2022 (whose content is detailed at this address). It’s quite late, yes, but no doubt this should probably revive interest around the game and make it climb back up the rankings, both Steam and Xbox. 343 Industries has even just supported itself witha new development studio to ensure a more solid and regular follow-up.
