Halo creative leader leaves Microsoft

The Video Chronicle reported on the 8th that Haello Infinite’s creative leader, Joseph Staten, has left Microsoft.

According to foreign media, Microsoft said, “We want to thank Joseph for his contributions to the Halo franchise and Xbox as a whole. We wish him the best in his new adventure.”

“I’m leaving Microsoft,” Staten said. “Now I want to thank my Xbox colleagues for understanding me as I embark on a new adventure.”

Statten was a creator of Halo when Microsoft bought Bungie in 2000. Later, when Bungie split from Microsoft in 2007, he served as writer and creative director for Halo 3.

After returning to Microsoft in 2014, he worked as a senior creative director at Xbox Game Studios Publishing.
