Hallescher FC throws André Meyer out – “The table doesn’t lie” – you’re Halle

Hallesche FC is taking the consequences of the club’s current sporting situation and is releasing coach André Meyer from his duties. In the table of the third division, the HFC occupies the penultimate 19th place.

For the time being, junior manager and football coach Jens Kiefer will take on responsibility for the professional team as a trio together with assistant coach Max Bergmann and goalkeeper coach Marian Unger. At the same time, the search for a new head coach is in full swing.

“The table doesn’t lie. With all appreciation for André Meyer’s great commitment, the development in recent months and the performance of the team in the disappointing home defeat once morest FSV Zwickau have led to the fact that we in the board and administrative board have unanimously voted in favor of a separation. 17 points from 20 games this season is a historic low since they belonged to the 3rd division. That’s why we came to the conclusion that we have to give a new impetus to the coaching position. We would like to express our sincere thanks to André Meyer and wish him all the best for his future career,” explains board member Dr. Jurgen Fox.

A group consisting of members of the board and the administrative board, supported by sports director Ralf Minge, is exploring the market in order to fill the vacant position of coach as soon as possible with a coach who, together with the team and all supporters, will tackle the goal of staying up in the league.

Sports director Ralf Minge left the club a few days ago. And President Jens Rauschenbach has also announced his retirement.
