Last Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the PSO (Peloton Sécurisation et Ordre public) carried out a new operation once morest street dealing in the city center of Charleroi. Called DILRU2022-02, following the “01” ten days agothis operation took place this time in rue de Dampremy and place Saint-Fiacre, “where drug addicts have been reported for some time”.
“From the observations made, a flagrant offense of selling narcotics was found and the PSO teams moved on to the phase of arresting the people concerned by this traffic and launching two searches in the process”indicates the local police of Charleroi.
The operation allowed:
- Control of 11 people;
- The judicial arrest of 3 people, 2 of whom were presented to the magistrate of the public prosecutor’s office, who referred the persons concerned to an examining magistrate. The latter placed the two suspects under arrest warrant;
- The seizure of more than 1/2 kg of “hard” drugs (cocaine and heroin), 13 g of soft drugs (cannabis resin) a sum of more than €33,000 and jewelery of suspicious origin (cf. photography).
- The drafting of 11 judicial minutes.
The Charleroi police ensure that “Operations of this type will continue to follow one another on a regular basis in the sector in order to contribute to the action plan relating to the fight once morest nuisances due to narcotics and the securing of public space.”
