Perambra: A youth has been remanded in custody in connection with a case of beating up employees of a supermarket in Perambra and demanding payment for beef without a halal sticker. The Perambra court remanded Prasoon (29) for 14 days in Pranavathil area of ​​Mappayoor Math.

He is an RSS supporter. The case is for attempted murder. According to the police, the accused was under the influence of alcohol.

Meanwhile, Prasoon, the first accused, was sacked by Indus Motors. He was the Kuttiyadi Territorial Head of the Company. The action is in the context of remand in a criminal case. The company will conduct an internal investigation.

The incident began when Prasoon, who arrived at the Perambra Badusha hypermarket around 3 pm on Sunday, demanded beef that did not have a halal sticker. Prasoon and his accomplice argued with the employees who made it clear that there was no such beef and then called more people on the phone and beat the employees.

Four employees of the shop were injured in the attack. Prasoon was arrested by staff and locals and handed over to the police. The co-defendants have not yet been arrested. The case is only for attempted murder, despite attempts to deliberately promote secularism in the shop.
