Hala Shiha raises controversy by appearing without a veil… and speculation about her divorce

The retired Egyptian artist, Hala Shiha, created a state of controversy following she appeared without a veil in a video clip in which she documented family moments with her two daughters and members of her family.

Shiha had shared with her followers, through her account on “Instagram”, a video clip dating back to October of last year, which includes cute clips of her daughter and niece playing with slime and scenes that bring them together with her mother and father.

Shiha attached the post with a comment stressing the importance of the family, saying: “I believe in the power of the family, the power of love, the power of purity and joy.”

She explained that the difficult and sad times a person goes through leads him to a better place, and builds a stronger and wiser personality in it, and she wrote: “I believe that tomorrow is a wonderful place, and that when we go through difficult times, sad times, and traumatic events, guilt and anger will only lead us to a better place.” And we become wiser, stronger, less angry, and more forgiving. I look at my daughter and her cousin, and they are happy, laughing from their hearts, and miserable in the moment.”

Shiha concluded her post that one can learn a lot from children just as one learns from the nature around him.

Hala Shiha is under attack

Many praised Shiha’s message and the beautiful footage she documented for the two girls, but they noticed that she did not wear the veil in one of the shots in which she appeared without a head covering in the reflection of the mirror, and the reactions were divided between critics and defenders, so one of them wrote: “In a reflection of your image, the mirror is without a veil, so if it is not And take care of it.”

While one of them attacked them, saying: “Your personal life has nothing to do with it, but the hijab is not a game and your picture in the video is a prelude to the smart viewer. After a while, we will see you at the El Gouna Festival. May God guide you and guide us.”

Followers continued their speculations to the point of accusing her of removing the veil because of her divorce from her husband, the Islamic preacher Moez Masoud, according to their perceptions. One of them wrote: “You look divorced because you took off what you call a veil.”

While another defending wrote: “If we are a respectable people who respect themselves and respect the privacy of the other, it is not supposed to differentiate with us who wears the veil and who takes it off, but unfortunately we are not like that, and because of this, God blessed us with rulers who use religion to laugh at us.”
