Hakimi, Bounou and Regragui nominated for the Best FIFA Football Awards 2022

Dn the category “The Best – FIFA Player”, Achraf Hakimi, member of the French club Paris Saint-Germain and author of a historic 2022 World Cup with the Atlas Lions (semi-finalist) appears in a list of 14 players including, in particular, his Argentinian teammates Lionel Messi and French Kylian Mbappé, can we read on the FIFA electronic portal.

This list also includes Karim Benzema (France/Real Madrid CF), Erling Haaland (Norway/BV Borussia 09 Dortmund/Manchester City FC), Robert Lewandowski (Poland/FC Bayern Munich/FC Barcelona), Sadio Mané (Senegal/Liverpool FC/ FC Bayern Munich) or the Brazilian Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain).

In the category “The Best – FIFA Goalkeeper”, Yassine Bounou, who plays for Sevilla FC in Spain, will compete with Alisson Becker (Brazil / Liverpool FC), Thibaut Courtois (Belgium / Real Madrid CF), Ederson (Brazil/Manchester City FC) and Emiliano Martínez (Argentina/Aston Villa FC).

For his part, Walid Regragui is a candidate for “The Best – FIFA Coach for Men’s Football” award, alongside Carlo Ancelotti (Italy/Real Madrid CF), Didier Deschamps (France/French National Team), Pep Guardiola (Spain/Manchester City FC) and Lionel Scaloni (Argentina/Argentina National Team).

The distinctions will also concern the best player, goalkeeper, supporters / supporters, coach for women’s football and most beautiful goal.

The public voting procedure on the FIFA+ platform runs until February 3, 2023, according to the same source, which specifies that two panels of experts have selected the nominated players, goalkeepers, goalkeepers and coaches.

FIFA will announce the three finalists in each of the seven categories at the beginning of February.
