According to his friend Soufiane Touzani, Hakim Ziyech is not happy that his gesture has been disclosed by a certain Moroccan press eager for clicks and tweets. “This news turned out very well in Morocco,” Touzani told NOS. “He’s not happy regarding it himself, because he thinks: if I do something for someone, it’s just between him and me. If everyone knows regarding it, it diminishes the value. Hakim is like that, straight and true.”
Ziyech can still dream of winning the world title following victories over Spain and Portugal. France awaits you on Wednesday. Touzani leaves him alone as the semi-finals approach. “Of course I will send him something, but I don’t bother him all the time. He has enough people around him.”
“It’s so special what he does,” continues Touzani with admiration. “He has no game rhythm, hey. The handsome footballer that he is is not really going out yet. But he completely sacrifices himself and I think that’s great.”
