‘Haikyu!’ Presents The Two-Part Final Anime Movie Trailer

Beloved volleyball anime Haikyuu! released the first trailer for the two-part final film titled Haikyu!! FINAL which will feature the final match between the Karasuno and Nekoma teams.

Although no release date has been given for the two-part finale, the new trailer suggests that the finale will not only cover the final match between Karasuno and Nekoma at the Tokyo Nationals tournament where the anime is set. is last stopped in its fourth season, but also address the events of the manga’s final arc.

Season four of the popular anime aired in 2020 and featured an emotional, high-octane arc that pitted series protagonist Shoyo Hinata’s underdog team Karasuno High School once morest the best and the baddest. their district’s brightest volleyball teams as Karasuno tried to reclaim past glories by winning the Tokyo Nationals tournament.

The season ended with Inarizaki High School falling to Karasuno in the third-round tournament, prompting a long-awaited clash between Karasuno and his underdog team Nekoma in a match dubbed the “Dumpster Battle” due to the fact that Karasuno’s mascot was a crow and Nekoma is a cat.

Haikyuu!Shueisha’s manga also came to an end in 2020, having begun life in February 2012 in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump. Author Haruichi Furudate was himself a member of his high school volleyball team and often made attend school just to participate in club activities despite less than stellar grades.

Haikyuu! has since spawned the anime series, along with four OVA episodes and two Nintendo 3DS games. Protagonist Hinata also appeared in the Weekly Shōnen Jump crossover fighting game J-Stars Victory VS, released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in 2014.
