In general, Hai Phong was still the sharper team in the first half, as evidenced by their opening goal. Minute 39, Van Minh hung the ball from the left wing and Huu Son headed the tactic. Ho Chi Minh City’s defense focused on both foreign players Carlos Herrera and Mpande, so it opened up an opportunity for Viet Hung to jump in and hit the home team’s net. Viet Hung is a player on the payroll of Hoang Anh Gia Lai who plays for Hai Phong on loan.
