Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in Harry Potter, has died. Died at the age of 72, he is said to have breathed his last at the Larbert hospital, Scotland, near his home.
Hagrid is said to have been battling illness for the past two years. The news was confirmed by Coltrane’s agent, Belinda Wright.

What pain?
The cause of Robbie Coltrane’s death is not known for sure, Belinda Wright did not explain the illness Coltrane had over the last few years. However, quoted from various sources, the famous Harry Potter actor has a history of osteoarthritis.
One of the photos of him in a wheelchair in 2019 went viral when it was discovered that he might not walk. Sources at the time revealed he was in pain and was planning to undergo knee replacement surgery when the deformity damaged his joints.
Coltrane once spoke regarding his health issues, stating that he was battling pain 24 hours a day while being an actor in National Treasure and Great Expectations. He told me that he had no cartilage in his knees.
However, he managed to recover following undergoing surgery in 2020. The Harry Potter actor stated that he was finally able to sleep soundly and pain-free following surgery.
