Háfra’s Homecoming: A Masterclass in Triumph on Váci út

Hungarian women’s handball NB I Váci NKSE announced the signing of national team player Noémi Háfra on its official website.

The Vác club is on Wednesdays announcement however, the 26-year-old shot putter asked to leave for the sake of his own career and more playing minutes, so he will leave Germany by mutual agreement, and it is also possible that he will play in the championship against Mosonmagyaróvár on Wednesday.

“Neither party wants to add more about the further background of the transfer, and we hope that Noni will answer all questions with his performance on the pitch” – says the Vác club website quite bluntly.

Noémi Háfra grew up in Ferencváros, transferred to the great rival Győr in 2021. ETO loaned him out several times in the past two years, he played for Odense and Buducsnoszt, and last season he played in the BL final with Bietigheim, while his career was hampered by a severe cruciate ligament tear. Although he was to sign a permanent contract with the team that has since become Ludwigsburg, he finally decided to return home.

After three rounds, Vác is ninth in women’s handball NB I, and in the second round of the Europa League, it confidently won at the home of Dutch Venlo.
