“Hado, the borrowed powers of water”: A collective exhibition of artists from overseas presented at Tropiques Atrium Scène Nationale in Martinique to lift the veil on the magic and unsuspected powers of water

Water is life. Sweet or salty, hot or cold, water has amazing powers over
body and mind. If the therapeutic and curative virtues of water and the aquatic environment
have been known since antiquity, the influence of water on the soul and the spirit is in
less obvious for some.

However, a number of experiments undertaken throughout the world seem to agree on the
powers of water on the human soul. So, Konstantin Korotrov, professor of computer science
and biophysics at the University of Saint Petersburg, Russia recounts in “Water, the
secret power of water” the many experiments he has carried out on water and affirms
By exposing water samples to various influences, various forces such as
magnetic or electrostatic fields, to various substances or to emotions
human emotions, it then became clear that these are positive human emotions or
negative influences which represent the most important of all influencess”. In short, scientists,
philosophers, traditional medicine, empirical or spiritual beliefs, all seem
indicate that water is endowed with enigmatic or even magical powers.

It is these unsuspected powers of water that the images and drawings suggest
proposed in “Hado, the powers borrowed from water”, a collective exhibition
presented by artists regularly in residence at the Maëlle Galerie which takes place until
February 4 at Tropiques Atrium Scène Nationale, in Martinique.

The crossed views of 16 artists who offer a journey on the powers of water

A selection of works by 16 artists, mostly from overseas, including
can cite Séphora Joannès, Valérie John, Shivay la Multiple, Tabita Rezaire, Stéphanie
Brossard, Louisa Marajo, Jean-François Boclé, Ernest Breleur, Mirtho Linguet, Jérémie
Priam, or even Thierry Fontaine, joined by the Brazilians Fannie Sosa and Gabriel
Moraes Aquino, the Franco-Gabonese Myriam Mihandou, the Cuban Carlos Montiel and the
Franco-Congolese Borgial Nienguet-Roger, artists who listen to the universe and
which, at each of the works, agitates “crossed eyes” and offers us a trip on the
“powers borrowed from water”.

This is the opportunity”to glimpse, through a selection of works, of what energies and under
what poetic forces, between demonstrations of force, rituals of care, gestures of
communion, subliminal messages and sanctifications“, water can be changed,” assures the Martinican Olivia Breleur, director of the Maëlle Galerie and curator of this
exposition.

This collective exhibition offers a kind of transcendental meditation and a door
open to our imaginations that absolutely must be seen and shared in order to try to understand
the powers of water and why not succeed in unraveling the mysteries of its benefits. A
also a way to irrigate us with the message of benevolence and serenity that water provides and
reflected in this exhibition. A good dose of well-being in this troubled period and
uncertain.
