The threesome of the Montreal Canadiens is the talk of the NHL and according to our collaborator for The AthleticPierre LeBrun, teams might be more serious regarding obtaining a Habs goalie in January.
During his passage to Hockey 360LeBrun indicated that certain teams had contacted the Canadiens’ leaders to inquire regarding the situation in front of the net and that they would be ready to return to the charge at the start of 2024.
The hockey insider suggests that the Carolina Hurricanes are among the teams with interest in veteran Jake Allen. He also believes the New Jersey Devils are discussing internally the possibility of getting the 33-year-old goaltender.
Allen has a 3.43 goals- once morest average and a .904 save percentage in 12 games this season with the Canadiens.
Cayden Primeau also intrigues certain teams according to LeBrun, but he adds that teams must evaluate what the youngest Canadian goalie might offer on a more constant basis in the Bettman circuit. In six games this season, he has a goals- once morest average of 3.40 and a save percentage of .902.
Among other rumors around the circuit, LeBrun points out that Calgary Flames forward Elias LIndholm will attract a lot of interest between now and the trade deadline on March 8. According to him, the Boston Bruins might try to obtain his services.
In 32 games since the start of the campaign, Lindholm has collected seven goals and 13 assists. He is in the final year of his contract which earns him $4.85 million annually.
