“Haaland.. how is your father doing?” Manchester United fans relive Roy Keane’s accident

Manchester United fans cheering Haaland’s father during the derby!

The derby match between Manchester City and United witnessed the cheers of the Red Devils fans for the father of Erling Haaland and former star Roy Keane at Old Trafford during the two teams’ confrontation in the English Premier League.

Manchester United won the match 2-1, and Halland, who scored a hat-trick in the previous match against United, which ended in City’s 6-3 victory at the Etihad Stadium, struggled during today’s match, but did not succeed in continuing to shine.

United fans decided to revive the history of Haaland’s father in this match. In 2001, Haaland Sr. was subjected to violent interference from United captain Kane, and his career as a player was ended.

And Kane admitted in his book that his intervention gave him a red card was premeditated and related to Haaland shouting at him when he cut his cruciate ligament in a match against Leeds.

“Haaland, how is your father?!” United fans chanted. At halftime before chanting “Keanu! Keanu!” and “Na na na na Keano!”.

Kane received a £5,000 fine and a three-match ban for the foul tackle.

“I will never apologize for that,” Kane said of the incident in 2021. “I never intended to injure a player in my life. Do I play to hurt players?”

He continued, “When you go to get a ball in the middle of the park there is a good chance that someone will get hurt.”

Back in October the broadcaster tried to reunite the two rivals and Kane was providing editing services for Sky Sports while Haaland was photographed alongside former United defender Jaap Stam about 15 yards down the touchline.
