Noe Seifert and Florian Langenegger performed well in the all-around European Championships in Antalya. The Argovians finished 5th and 7th respectively.
Seifert thus obtained a ranking similar to that of the Europeans 2022 in Munich. He was able to cherish the hope of obtaining a medal for a long time, but he weakened a little on the last 2 apparatus, on floor and on pommel horse. He scored a total of 82.664 points, a little lower than Munich’s (83.031). He missed a thousandth of a point compared to 4th place.
The Argovian will still be in contention twice in Türkiye. He qualified for the parallel bars and floor finals.
Turkey’s Asil wins
For his first at this level, Langenegger finished in a place that almost no one thought possible. He trailed only on high bar, with 12.933 points.
The Turkish Adem Asil (24) won in front of his home crowd. The 2022 ring world champion scored 84.965 points. He edged Briton Jake Jarman (83.463). Ukrainian Illia Kovtun, who finished first in qualifying, took bronze following making an incredible comeback on the last two apparatus (83.032).
