(Miryang=Gyeongnam News Today) At the Miryang Arirang Space Observatory operated by the Miryang City Facility Management Corporation (Chairman Lee Byung-hee), around 5:30 am on the 28th, Venus, Mars, Saturn and the Moon were successfully photographed together.

There are 7 planets in the solar system except for Earth, but Uranus and Neptune are dark to the naked eye, and Mercury is too close to the Sun, so observation is limited.

On this day, a rare event occurred in which the other three planets, except for Jupiter, gathered within about 6 degrees among the four planets that can be easily seen by the general public. Venus, Mars and Saturn will have to wait until September 2040 to reunite.

Venus at dawn is called ‘morning star’ in pure Korean. On this day, Saturn was located below the brightly shining ‘morning star’ with a magnitude of -4.4, and reddish Mars was located to the right. Especially on this day, the old moon was also close to the three planets, which made the scene even more interesting.

At the Miryang Arirang Space Observatory, we succeeded in capturing these special cosmic events in photos at the Observatory, Chuhwasan Bongsudae, and the banks of the Miryang River in Sammun-dong.

Team leader Park Geun-hong and director Park Jae-hyun of the Space Culture Team, who were in charge of filming this time, said, “We didn’t run a separate event because we woke up very early, but in the hope that we could all see the beautiful and mysterious astronomical phenomenon together, we decided to record this filming. “I hope that the day will come when Corona 19 will end as soon as most of the planets observable with the naked eye are gathered, and our society will gather together to regain joy,” he said.

Planets use the character ‘walk’ to mean that their positions in the sky are not fixed but change. There are no planets observable in the early night sky from April to mid-August, and from mid-August, starting with Saturn, which appeared in this shoot, Jupiter, Uranus, and Mars will rise in order at monthly intervals to decorate this year’s night sky. am.
