Gwen Stefani Injured, August 17 Concert Postponed

ROCK singer Gwen Stefani, 54, shared on her Instagram Stories on Saturday (8/10) that she recently suffered an “injury” that will affect her upcoming concert schedule.

“Due to a recent injury and after consulting with my doctor, I have been informed that I will not be able to perform on August 17th at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City,” he wrote.

The musician, who did not reveal further details about his injury, went on to apologize to fans affected by the change of plans.

“I am deeply sorry and we plan to reschedule the show as soon as possible,” Stefani continued, adding that ticket holders will receive an email from Ticketmaster “as soon as a new show is announced.” She said “current tickets” will be “valid for the new date.”

Stefani’s website notes she is still scheduled to perform at the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 20 before heading to Huntsville, Ala., to perform at the South Star Music Festival on Sept. 28 and at Live Out Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, on Oct. 12.

The announcement comes nearly two weeks after Stefani released her latest Olympic collaboration “Hello World” with Ryan Tedder and Anderson Paak. According to a press release, the new song “aims to inspire everyday greatness among athletes and fans around the world.”

“We are thrilled to launch ‘Hello World’ for Paris 2024 in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company and the International Olympic Committee (IOC),” Stefani said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time. “We hope ‘Hello World’ inspires positivity as the world comes together to celebrate the Olympic Games.”

She also shared an Instagram video of herself performing the song in front of the Olympic rings in a silver outfit and behind-the-scenes footage of the music video.

“So honored to collaborate on ‘Hello World’ with @anderson._paak and @ryantedder for the Olympics. Streaming now 🙂 gx,” he wrote in the video caption.

The former No Doubt musician, who is married to Blake Shelton, is also scheduled to return as a coach on NBC’s The Voice for its new season, which kicks off on September 23, alongside Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.

On July 26, NBC released a new promotional video for the upcoming season featuring Snoop, 52, McEntire, 69, Bublé, 48, and Stefani wearing matching outfits and singing a cheerful version of the Four Tops’ 1966 hit “Reach Out I’ll Be There.” (People/Z-3)
