The whole apartment was covered in darkness.
The air conditioner outdoor unit, which had been running non-stop, also stopped working.
Yesterday (11th) around 6pm, the electricity supply suddenly cut off in the 300-family apartment complex in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Electricity was completely cut off in two buildings, and damage continued, such as turning on and off electricity briefly in the four surrounding buildings.
As the fan might not be turned on in the hot weather, some residents evacuated by car outside the house to receive air conditioning.

“Even when I go in (at home), there is nothing to do, it’s hot and there is no fan, and I’m in a state of waiting, thinking that it will be fixed once I stay in the car for a while.”
The apartment management office has informed residents that the electricity has been cut off due to its own circuit breaker overheating.

“There is no saying when it will be restored, it’s just saying the same thing. Just saying ‘Please refrain from using electricity as much as possible’…”
It is difficult to restore right now, so electricity is distributed to each dong a little bit, but as this is a temporary measure, the damage is expected to continue even if the day is bright.
